Hi I'm Andy and I supply the low end in Syruss and also some backing vocals. My influnences are all over the place so check out my biog for more info. In the links below you can read a bit about my gear and some personal recommendations on kit etc.
Andy Westwood - Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals
I'm 24 and live in Plymouth, I've been playing bass for 4 years, and have been supplying the low end in syruss for 2 of those!
There are a lot of people who actually got me into playing bass, but I suppose the main one is Cliff Burton.
I'm not to sure that there is a rock bassist who doesn't know who Cliff Burton is! He is by far my biggest influence and inspiration on the bass, his playing is so clean, so well thought out, his solo on " Kill em All" has some of the best playing I've ever heard! and his live solos are incredible!(check you tube if you've not seen them).
He is one of a the only bassists I know who had the confidence to play lead bass over rhythm guitars! but with all this he could still slip right back into playing some root note riff.
Orion is the song that started it all for me! His playing is awesome and goes back and forth between grooving bass parts to just a full on rock riff, then into a bass solo, that harmonizes with the guitars at the end of it.
Sadly he was killed in a accident in 1986 at the age of 24 while on tour with Metallica.
My musical taste is eclectic to say the least! It goes from bands such as Slipknot and Arch Enemy through Metallica and Guns and Roses through to the more pop rock of Paramore and finally to the more funky chilled out Grooves of the RHCP. But mainly if it has a good riff to it, for me it doesn't really matter to me how heavy it is.
Andy Westwood - Gear
Well my gear is pretty standard really I have a few pedals that I like to use, but my rig is pretty simple.

Basses:
- 2008 Modulus FB4 with Seymour Duncan basslines pickup, aguilar ob-1 preamp and badass 2 bridge
- 1998 Fender pbass
- 2009 Epi Thunderbird Pro
All my basses are strung with Dunlop Robert Trujillo signiture strings.
Pedals:
- Electro harmonics Metal Muff nano

- Boss TU-2(tuner)
- Boss Flanger
- Behringer Bass Chorus
- Dunlop 105q crybaby bass wah

I'm always on the hunt for a better sound but I think with this setup I'm good, it has taken me a few pedals and a couple of rigs to get here but its all worth it now.

Jack Griffin - Drums
Greetings!
I'm Jack - if your reading this you must want to know a little bit more about me.
According to one of my friends I am unreasonably old! and I've been playing drums for the past 15yrs.
The reason for this affliction is the fact that my dad used to play in the psych metal band Hawkwind.
I'm largely self taught and have always tried to carve out my own style influenced by the rock musings of Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, Hawkwind, Motorhead and Slipknot.
I've developed a reputation for becoming very animalistic on stage, breaking drumsticks, cymbals and skins. But I'm very much more approachable off stage.
