I'm 23 years old and have been playing guitar for the last 6 years.

For 4 of those I was self taught on the guitar and have been tutored for the last two.

Over the years my style has developed and so have my musical interests. I have loved music for as long as I can remember and appreciate all types of music but for a long time now have not listened to much apart from Rock and heavy metal

Apart from playing guitar in Syruss I work as an Electrical Design Engineer.

My main influences are from bands such as Metallica, Guns N' Roses and Iron Maiden. One of my guitar idols is Paul Gilbert who used to play for Racer X and one of the guitars I play is his signature Ibanez model which rocks.

My style of playing has a very heavy metal feel to it and love to shred on the guitar but also have a love for the more bluesy style guitaring. I also use an Ibanez RG1570 and an ESP Guitar. As far as strings go I tend to use D'Addario XL Super Light Gauge Strings. The Amplifier I currently use is a Line 6 model but I am looking to change that in the near future.

For me the thing that sets bands apart from all the ones I have seen is how they perform live which is why I am looking forward to playing live as much as possible with Syruss.
